The Tear within Rain

Fictional Novel (WolfTeam related)
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum, but I'm really into wolfteam. So i decided to start a novel base on the information that is given. Hope you will enjoy ^_^
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Happy birthday!” A lady cheers, her face was illuminated by a strange light. Her facial features were blurry and unclear. Her skin is slick, soft like water.
I groan, thought to myself, how many times is this nightmare going to happen to me?
The room is warm and comfortable, painted in a violet color. I'm sitting in a long, rectangular table, across me is a large window. The view outside is vivid, a forest full of lives. Rabbits, birds, and wild turkeys are everywhere to be seen. A field of life, hope and promising peace.
But all of this will burn tonight, like my faith for my parents, all will burn down to ashes. The lady continue to describe how great it will be tonight because it's my birthday. Despite her blurry smile, it was soft and emotional.
I kept a straight face, I don't usually express my own feelings. Average size of a pair of light brown eyes, thick eyebrows, and thin lips. The only thing on my face that actually shows up is my nose. My shoulder length, straight black hair flows with the wind. My hair parts in the middle, then two strips of hair flows freely in front of my ears while the rest are tucked behind it. My bangs split in the middle as well, only to the length of my thin glasses' frame.
“Aren't you happy about your birthday?” The man who has been sitting beside me wraps his arm around my neck and smiled. His face is also blurry, can not be recognized at all. I only know that he is muscular and has an average build.
“Yea, I am dad.” I reply without much interest. My gaze is fixed at the forest, it seems like something is going to jumps out from it abruptly and crashes into our house.
“...... will be ten years old, I'm so happy for him.” The lady stops near the man, chuckling with joy.
I hate this when it happens, despite how many times this dream reoccurs to me, there will be words left out as if it was erased Intentionally no matter how hard I try to catch on.
“He will be a teenager soon, right …..?” The man turns to me.
Again, words left out that is suppose to be my name, I detest of having this dream over and over because of this. Then the dream somehow jumps forward like a tape recorder that has been ordered to skip a part of the program.
I collapse in front of the door of my house. My eyes and mouth widened with fear. The house is on fire, so is the forest next to it, I smell the scent of burning fleshes and hair. Kneeling on the glass in front of my house, I don't know is it right for me to scream or cry.
The flame slowly engulf and consume the house, pieces of black planks of wood often drops onto the floor. The door is already burned down, I am witnessing every thing I owned, I possessed burned into pieces. Even my soul, it feels like it's being slowly devoured by dark flames.
The late night breeze blows the sparks into the sky, raises the ashes as they fade away.
Suddenly, I heard shouting and gun fire in the burning forest. I pull myself to my feet, turning to the forest and stagger toward it. Before I can reach the entrance of the forest, birds and other animals escape the living **** where once were their sanctuary.
I see people in military uniforms rushing out of the forest, taking their masks off.
“Sir, the job has been done.” One of the soldiers reports, panting from the heat.
“This will conclude our mission for tonight, for further....”
The tall man stops speaking and stares at me, with a sense of detest, he adds “The job was.... “done” ?”
“Right away, sir.” The other soldier trains his assault rifle at me, then realize that he is aiming at a child, “Sir, he is just a kid, do we....”
“I say get it over and done with,” The tall man shakes his head slowly, “Kid or not, they are monsters, they will rip your head off once they grow up, now get rid of him!”
“Roger....” The soldier replied without much spirit, then his finger rests in front of the trigger.
I stare at them with hatred, the flame has changed the color of my eyes to a bloody red.
Somehow, I feel an immense pain going through my body, as if I'm being burned alive. I drop to the ground on my four, my conscious slowly fades away as something else takes control, something powerful and beyond my understanding.
My moan slowly turns into a coarse growl, then my bones starts to grow, snapping and reconnecting, morphing myself into something horrifying.
My eyes open once again, they are blood-red with a long muzzle beneath it. My fangs exposed as I snarl.
My fur is black, covering my entire body from head to toe. Two pointy ears twists around to adapt the environment. Eyes fixed on the soldiers, I lunge.
I'm very lean, even when I transform, this part humiliates me the most.
The tall man speaks again, I can hear it much clearer now, “You see? This is why we need to dispose them, do it now!”
Lunging toward the crowd, then leap into the air.
“Scatter!” One of the soldiers roars.
The men breaks apart, then soon regroup.
“Fire!” The same man cries again.
Bullets ripping through the air, flying toward me. I rise to my hind legs, fighting to keep my balance.
As I gained my balance, a bullet scratched me by my right arm. I howl in pain then charged at the soldiers again. As I run, I learned their pattern of fire, and slowly gain the knowledge of predicting their attack directions.
I successfully break through the line of defense and knock one of the soldier down.
Knocking his helmet off, I spot a face of a man struggling under my hand, a coarse, furry hand full of claws.
He reminds me of my father, even if I don't recognize his face, they are all living being. I don't have the right to take their life away.
I hesitated to kill, to put an end to this miserable human.
“Fire, now!” The other soldiers regroup and fire at us.
If I jump out of the way, the man beneath me would be killed without a doubt. Out of absolute stupidity, I jump in front of the man and using my lean body as a shield.
I watch the bullets rips into my body, pain and agony hits me instantly. As bloody gushes out from my muzzle, I drop to my knees, then slump on my stomach.
A pool of blood slowly builds up as the soldiers approach me cautiously with their guns trained at me.
“Kill him!” The tall man orders the man behind me, the one I protected.
“No sir,” He murmurs behind me.
“I said kill him! Do you not understand?!” The tall man demands with fury.
“SIR! He protected me! Do you not have feelings?!” The soldier behind me roars back.
“Why would you have mercy on a beast like him?!” The tall man shouts impatiently.
The other soldiers remained silence, regretting their actions with their heads lowered.
“Fine! Then we'll bring him back to the lab, understood?!” The tall man realizes his mistake.
“Thank you, Sir!” The man rise and salutes.
Then everything blacks out for a few minutes. I sigh, glad that the nightmare is over.
“Wake up already, you fell off the bed like thirty times and I have to pick you back up.” A deep voice complains playfully.
“Void....Stop it...” I yawn and stretch with my eyes closed.
“Nightmare is over?” He tilts his head at me as I open my eyes slowly, a pair of glowing brown eyes.
“Yea, the same thing....” I moan as I sit up, “What kind of training we have to do today?”

Chapter 2: Casualness

To be continued
The room is dim, but a fair size. TV, computer, drinks, food, basically a very luxurious cell. The room is a square, enough to fit two beds on the opposite sides and it's able to fit two more in the center with plenty of room to walk.
I crawl out of bed and fall onto the cold metal floor. Wearing only a pair of shorts, I feel the stone cold chill slowly spreading within my body.
“So when are you going to put some weight on yourself? You look like a twig no offense.” Void tosses his cover aside, pulling a shirt over his muscular body. Void has short brown hair, his yellowish eyes are narrow and pointy like a wolf, thin eyebrows and a large nose. His mouth is thin like mine, but his ears are smaller than mine. There are countless of scars on his torso, each had an individual story to them. He is like a father to me, much more mature and calm.
“Well excuse me that I eat more than you and yet I gain no weight,” I turn my head, letting my cheek make contact with the cold floor.
“True,” He scratches his face with his sharp nails, grinning unconsciously, “Asians sure do have a faster metabolism.”
“Screw you.” I laugh and lunge at the muscular figure, despite that I'm almost two head shorter than him.
His hand strikes faster than lightning, grabs me by my throat with his large hand. Grinning, Void mocks amiably, “How many times do we have to go through this?”
Before I can answer, a person walks into the room, “Oh what is this, boys break it up.”
“Dr. Aniel” I wave as the door close behind her. Dr. Aniel is a scientist who works at secret laboratories like this one. She is very amiable, treats every single person here like her son and daughter, human or not. Her skin is very pale, a pair of purple eyes large as marbles. Her blonde hair flows in the air like a smooth stream. Her face is oval like mine, but a bit longer. Every time I look up at her, I see two circular object in my way which often make me blush. I'm only about five-nine, which is pretty short for “my kind”.
“Raven put some clothes on, this is not the battlefield.” She sighs with her eyes closed.
“Right.” I blush and put on a black shirt and button it up completely.
“Today we're scheduled to practice combat techniques, but the training ground has some problems.” She slightly pushes her glasses with her index-finger, “A free day for you people.”
I cheered as Void groans in disappointment.
“What a contrast between you two.” She turns and walks out of the room.
Void always liked to practice and sharpen his skills, but I was never into fighting, I think it's just brutal and sickening.
“I'm going to use the bathroom, do you want anything while I'm gone?” I ask politely and the door slides open in front of me.
“Water would be fine, thanks.” He nods toward me, “You forgot your glasses.”
I put a hand to my head, almost cutting myself with my nails. Then I grab the glasses sitting on the desk. It's a black, thin frame, small pair of glasses.
I walked out with a smile, passing several people in the hall way. The wall are white just like the cell, clean and elegant. Announcements are being made in the cafeteria in the center of the facility. A large room like the size of a football field. TVs broadcasting news and latest events in the world are placed in the middle of the cafeteria. We had been told that this is an underground facility, about fifty miles away from surface of the earth.
As I came back from the cafeteria with Void's water, I spot someone standing at the door, speaking to Void.
Approaching my room, I see that it's commander Terian arguing with Void. They are about the same height, despite the fact that Mr. Terian is human and Void is not.
“Excuse me,” I smile warmly, “may I pass through?”
“You see?!” Commander Terian cries, “He doesn't belong to the military, he is too weak!”
My face darken, then pass the water to Void and turn my back on the two. I slowly pick up my pace and walk away like a robot.
“Wait Raven, he didn't mean to....”
I didn't stop, only turned at the corner. I lean against the hall, then collapse, hiding my face between my legs. I thought to myself, I am weak, I know that but.... I tried to be stronger, but....
Despite that I'm away from them, my ability allows me to listen to their conversation.
“You bet I meant every words I said.” Commander Terian retorts, “He is a weak being, he don't deserve to be here, the only thing he deserve is execution.”
“Listen you fool!” Void raises his voice, pointing to his bicep, “If you think this is the only thing that represent strength, you're idiotic.”
“To me,” Mr. Terian growls, “That is all there is to strength!”
Then the commander storms off the hall, leaving Void standing by himself.
After a few seconds, Void sighs, “Come out already, I know you're there. Your scent is way too obvious.”
I slowly walk out from the corner, then toward Void. I pick up my pace and throw myself into his arms, “Are they....” I sob, “Are they going to kill me?”
“They won't, not while I'm alive,” He wraps his arm around my neck, “They won't touch you, not even a piece of your hair.”
Later in the day, my mood is getting better because Void has been cracking jokes to cheer me up.
I interrupt abruptly, “Hey Void...” I speak faintly, looking away, “What does it take to be strong like you?”
He realizes I'm deeply troubled by what happened today. Even know that it's not the first time, this impact has been affecting me over time. Void replies with a faint grin, “You don't need anything else,” He place his hand on his chest, close to his heart, “A strong heart is all it takes.”
“A strong....” I tilt my head, amused, “Heart?”
“We all have to depart from this world eventually, so make the best out of what you have. The life you have now, as a lycanthrope, as a werewolf, you should appreciate what you are and make the best out of it.” He crosses his arm in front of his chest.
“Void, can I ask you something?” I request, with my head raised.
“Anything.” He nods.
“Where... where did I came from?” I mutter.
The room falls in silence, I can hear the electric current, and the pulses of both of our hearts.

Chapter 3: Potential

To be continued
“Void?” I inquire softly.
He gapes, staring at me uncertainly, then speaks slowly, “Let's talk about something else.”
“No,” I shake my head, “I had waited long enough, where did I come from, before I was assigned to this facility?”
“Raven....” Void licks his lips nervously, “sometime things are better off left unsaid.”
I pout curiously, “You are hiding things from me, why?”
He covers his face with both of his hand, “I'll always be on your side, no matter what happens,” Void sighs, then holds out his massive hand to me, “Okay?”
I took his hand and shook it uncertainly, “I guess, I trust you better than anyone else.”
He releases my hand. I bring it up to my head, “I don't possess any memory of my past. I tried so hard to remember, but nothing comes into my mind.”
“Do you want to remember?” He glances at me with a strange expression, as if he was in search of my eyes.
“Of course!” I reply firmly, “It's what made me met you, of course I want to remember that.”
Void sinks into silence, he looks troubled, or more ashamed of something. He finally opens his mouth, “What if....”
Suddenly, the announcement comes on, interrupting our conversation, “All members report to the training area G-001. I repeat....”
Void decides to not continue the conversation, he jumps up as if he has been expecting the announcement, “Must be something important, come on.”
“Right.” I reply and pull a pair of black sweat pants on, then chase after Void into the crowded hall way.
We race through the hall, despite the massive amount of people, they are disciplined. Therefore getting through the hallways wasn't a difficult task. The training ground is located at the southern part of the facility. I been there many times, but I hate attending to these trainings.
The facility is named “Den”. There are ten levels, each one can contain about ten football fields full of people. We live in the bottom, level ten. From what I heard, level one is where all the skilled soldiers are, they are the ones who are ready to go into action whenever the government summons them. Void don't have to be here, but he stayed with me for five years down here, which was when I was bought to this “Den”.
Void and I arrived at area G-001 on time, right before commander Terian comes in. The gate of the training ground is a large gate, which is now closing after us. Joining the crowds in the back row, we stayed low and listened carefully.
“Good afternoon,” Mr. Terian speaks, “As you know, In a few days you will take the graduate exam and move on to the next level of this “Den”. I wish all of you luck from the bottom of my heart, hoping that all of you had learned an useful and beneficial lesson here at level ten. I deeply apologize for my harshness, but all of you understand that it's for the best of you, to become a good soldier in the future.”
As Commander Terian salutes to us, we applause to express our gratitude. As Mr. Terian exits the training ground, Dr. Aniel stands in front of us.
She is holding a chart in her right arm, “The training ground has been adjusted for training, you are all allowed to enter here freely from now on, the issue turns out to be some object that blocked the air ducts.”
“Air ducts?” I raise an eyebrow.
“Shhh.” Void holds his index-finger in front of his mouth and tells me to be quiet.
“Also, if you find any problem within the training area, please report to us as soon as you can.” She finishes, and smiles wide, “Have fun.”
As soon as we are dismissed, some choose to remain in G-001 for some practice, others returned to their own rooms.
“You're coming back, right?” I pace toward the gate, looking back at Void.
“Nah, I want to stay, you can go if you want.” Void races into the jungle with others and begins his training session.
“Whatever.” I roll my eyes and walk out of the room.
Passing the cafeteria, I drop in and decide to get some food.
“Just you again?” The lady standing at the checkout smiles to me.
“Yea,” I reply lazily, “He is busy training.”
“You two are always so close to one another,” The lady looks at the screen and her fingers fly on the keyboard, “What's your story?”
I lower my head, it felt like a jab in my heart, “I – I don't remember.”
“You're so cute.”
“Thanks.” I reply quickly and walk out from the food line and out of the cafeteria. She thought it was funny, but all it is to me is sorrow...
As I turn at the corner, I spotted an adult leaning against the wall, he looks pretty ill.
“Are you alright?” I approach the man, he is coughing badly, “do you need help?”
He suddenly raises his head and snarled at me, his eyes are turning blood red. This is usually a sign of morphing or transformation. I quickly leaped aside and walked on, not willing to investigate further.
“What's his problem....” I mutter to myself as I walk away.
As I entered my room, I found an envelop sitting on my desk. I quickly put the food down, and reach for the envelop. The seal was strange, I have never seen a seal like this in my life. A raven standing on a wolf's head. Taking the letter out, I scan through the content.
Dear Raven,
So many things to say, yet only so little time. Let me put it into simple words, you will be killed, before you can take your exam, it all thanks to your little friend, Void.
Your friend, Kuluse
My fingers tremble, I'm frightened. The letter drops to the ground silently. Who is Kuluse? I don't know him, why is he saying this to me? What does he want from me? And Void wants to.... murder me? I thought to myself, quiet frightened by my own questions.
A knock on the wall brings me back to reality, “May I come in?” Void asks.
“Hold on a second.” I quickly grab the letter and the envelop, shoving them under my pillow and run for the door.
“What took you so long?” He grins suspiciously at me, then walk pass me.
“Was arranging the food.” I try to act casual.
He looks at the food that has been placed randomly on the table, then raises and eyebrow, “Arranging the food?”
“Was never good at doing it.” I shrug, sweating slightly.
“Can I ask you something?” I sit down on my bed awkwardly, “Do you know who is Kuluse?”
The second I mentioned that name, Void freezes in place, then turn his head to me like a robot, “Did you just say Kuluse?”
“Yea, why are you so tensed up?” I tilt my head curiously. Observing my friend's frightened expression.
