NM farming build?

I made an NM priest which will be my farming toon..for duals and such, for funding my level 28 UM. I was thinking putting full rec, but I'm not too sure. So if you could all just give me your opinions :] thanks!

Yup, full REC. Expect to always solo. Noone wants a NM priest to heal them, because NM doesn't get UR, which is the most important thing to some people (and if not, it's still pretty darn important).

I don't agree here... the only chance to farm for a NM priest is in party and for that I will suggest full WIS.

You will be dead meat in PVP, but you will be able to compensate the lack of UT with a good healing power (probably more than most UM priest that go REC or INT).

I'm going to put forward a different suggestion.

Drop the NM priest and make it HM instead.

Make it full rec like Tiamats suggests and you can either party or solo.

HMs get Etains Blessing and Ultimate Restoration and are a whole lot more useful than NM priests.

I'd say it depends on the level of the NM.

If its allready past 50, then you might as well use it to farm duals.

A NM full rec priest can tank green mobs right?



You can allways farm lvl4 lapis in D2 if you cant tank for Duals.






But if it's below 50 I wouldn't waste time on it and just make a full REC wis priest.

Then you can also go Oi once you level past 55. Even as a rec priest.
Having a healer without UR seems just annoying.

You will also be more popular in VR parties and grind to 60 so you can also farm Regnum lapis boxes from quests.

@pask: Noone wants a priest that doesn't have UR, seriously. I once duoed in OI with my level 41 NM priest, and the ranger I duoed with complained constantly that I didn't have UR. They didn't say they were doing PVP, they said they were doing farming. A NM REC priest can easily farm solo before one with INT or WIS. And a full WIS priest will die INSTANTLY in PVP. A REC priest might live long enough to run away or wait for someone else to kill (it depends on budget). But no doubt, full WIS will get one-shot killed. Period.

I agree with the other 2 who said to go with an HM instead, and if you do, make it full REC as well.

Saying "dead meat in pvp" I meaned exactly that he would not be able to pvp, so on that point we agree.

HM is for sure a better solution, but the OP asked specifically about a NM priest, so I ssumed he doesn't have time or will to lv up an HM...

UR is an awesome skill for sure, but be able to heal is more important from my point of view and NM full rec are not good to heal.

Soloing with a NM full rec? Yes maybe it is possible... but what can be the reason to create a NM priest? Only one: it can grow up fast! Is soling a NM full rec fast? I think it is faster to soloing a full luc UM archer Confused

LOL! You're joking me, right? It's pretty much undisputed that a NM priest is the single fastest class and mode to level to at least 45, which would be the hardest levels for a full LUC UM archer (i.e., the levels you are attempting to argue here). A full REC priest will solo MUCH faster than any other possible build. Or class. PERIOD.

And the reason you don't want WIS is because YOU WON'T BE HEALING. There's no use for a NM priest healing. They suck. Noone will party you. You HAVE to tank AND kill yourself. Full REC helps you accomplish that.

I'm not sure the OP is still following the discussion, so I don't feel it will be necessary for me to reply again in this thread.

if you can get lapis, you can consider for a REC/WIS priest. with your focus on REC.

or if you can start with HM, go for a REC/WIS with gears which are also lapissed in REC and WIS





to poke in the discussion between pask and tiamats, both are correct, but not at all Razz
a REC/WIS priest is the best healer that i can find out. REC that the priest don't die fast after an AoE or a "forgotten" mob. and WIS for healing power
