It seems an Original RP has been most popular so I'll start this one and keep the Poll going, the winner of the Poll tomorrow night will be our second RP.

: In Aldra, an alternate world parallel to ours, magic is very much real and used by a growing number of people who are gifted with its ability. Magic takes many forms and using spells and symbols allow Mages to direct it to suit their purposes. 30 years have passed since the Catholic Church used a "Templar Army" to hunt and defeat wielders of magic. The number of Mages have dwindled in the world. However, there are hidden villages all over Aldra where Mages live in the shadows to try and live a normal life. Children are born and raised in these villages, never knowing of the world until they are of age. The most dangerous of these villages is Arnica, which lies deep in the Forest of Ichtar. Recently, dark activity has begun to emerge in the Forest, causing the Forest and surrounding areas to be in danger. The nearby Catholic city of Rexil has also suffered the plague of this new darkness. The War on Magic comes to a temporary halt as the Mages and Templars must work together to combat a more pressing evil.
Schools of Magic
A Mage may major in 1 school of magic and minor in another.
1. Elemental Magic
: Magic that controls the elements such as fire, air, water, and earth. Mages generally only major in 1 element but some pursue multiple element masteries.
: Nature magic deals with plants and animals using a variety of subtle methods to deal with enemies such as entangling their enemy in vines. Nature mages can communicate with animals and order them to do a variety of tasks such as scouting or helping in a fight.
: This branch of magic lets the user change into diffrent creatures as well as changing other objects. Living objects can only change to living objects and nonliving objects can only be changed to nonliving objects. They can also manipulate the weight of objects for example allowing a brick to float.
4. Summoning magic
: Summoning magic allows the mage to call forth entities to aid them in battle. The mage can only summon 1 entity at a time and if the entity is killed it may not be summoned again for another 5 posts. Cannot minor in elemental or transfiguration magics.
5. White Magic
: White magic is used to heal and protect allowing the mage to heal wounds dispel things such as poison or paralysis and cast a variety of barriers that shield from physical and magical harm.
6. Dark Magic
: Dark Magic is a practice frowned upon in the wizarding community. This branch of magic lets the user summon Skeleton minions dissapear into the shadows and manipulate Darkness for energy based attacks and shields. Dark magic also lets the user control black fire.
: Mages each use a item magic weapon or artifact to channel their power, although magic can be done without one a magic instrument makes magic easier to cast and stronger. Favorite magic instruments are wands, glaives, rods, staves, books, and jewelery though many other things can also be used, Magic instruments are NOT ment to be used as a melee weapon in combat.
: Upon joining the Templars, a Templar Recruit is given an item of some sort that is blessed to protect them from Magic. It is not clear if these work, but it does seem that a Templar is given resistance to a certain type of Magic (Elemental, Summon, etc) that they then become an expert against. These objects are more symbolic of a Templar's journey than providing an actual sense of protection.
Weaknesses in Magic
: Magic cannot be used on Holy ground has no effect on Holy objects although things being manipulated by magic can still be used. Magic is measured by the users stamina the more magic the wizard casts the more tired they become. Summoning magic takes a particularly large amount of energy to use. Using more magic than your body can handle can lead to unconciousness or death.

1. No godmodding
2. No invincibility, immortality, or bringing people back to life... unless you offer another life in exchange (law of equivalent exchange)
3. No randomly blowing up someones character thats just not right.
4. Cussing allowed but keep it to a minimum there are kids on here.
5. I must approve you before you post.
6. Follow the above rules failure to comply can result in me giving you the boot... trust me you don't want it it smells terrible.
7. No duplicates! Magic Major and weapons (for Templars) are based on first come, first served basis. Minor Magic is fair game, but you can't have the same Major Magic as another mage. The exeption is Elemental which has different sub-levels, the different elements however are first come first serve.
Reaver -- A 'Reaver' that led a large attack against Rexil and Arnica using a Shadow army.
Shadows (Icarii) -- Ancient creatures forced to serve 'the Reavers', weak to Dark Magic, black instead of blue like picture.
Kilen -- A demon that has a dark past with Mai Joyeuse, but has vowed to protect her.
Kruger -- An elder looking Icarii that contacted Rosie and others across Aldra to fight the Reavers.

Melody -- A young and innocent girl that lost her family to bandits and has fallen under the protection of the Isaac for the time being. Her curiousity can lead her to trouble.

: Jade is impulsive, doing what she wants on a moments notice. She is young and naive, but adventerous and graceful. Her skills with her sword give her an over-confident approach at times.

: Jade is the daughter of Aghod, the Village Leader of Arnica. She is just turned of age and much to her father's displeasure, will be soon taking her first leave of the village to see the world she was shielded from. Her childhood friend, Ryder, will be accompanying her as she makes her first stop at Rexil, a dangerous city for any mage, especially a young one.
