Account Deactivation

I'd like to deactivate my account; but I don't know how
I'd like to deactivate my account(I'm not even on Aeria anymore, and I've lost interest in their games), but I can't find an option to do that anywhere. I've looked in the 'Account Options' and there's nothing regarding account deactivation. I was going to submit a ticker about it, but there isn't a relevant department to submit the ticket in.

I'd like information on how to deactivate, if possible.

Thank you.

Funny I emailed Aeria to delete my account - this is what they wrote:

There is no way to delete an account. However you can elect to stop
receiving the newsletter, and stop using the account.

To stop receiving the newsletter follow these instructions:

1) At the bottom of the newsletter is a link labeled "Click here to
unsubscribe from this newsletter". This is a unique link for the
subscriber, and will bring you to a page where you can choose to
unsubscribe.

2) You can log in to our web site. Once logged in, you can select "My
Profile", then the "Edit Profile" tab, then "Notifications". You must
uncheck the "sends me exclusive email offers, early access to new games
and major content releases" box. Once you have done so, you have to
save changes.

Thank you,

Team Aeria"

nice to know that - I would have NEVER opened up an account in the first place.

it could be replied by a new GM or something has changed in their procedures. But don't think that they would delete it, even if you ask it. They will just put a lock on it.

apparently they have decided to move the part of the work to the customer while an account termination doesn't take a minute ?

That's a weird reply.. I mean, if I was going on a break for a long period of time, I would want my account locked for security proposes without having to wait for 6 months to pass for it to be automatically suspended. I don't see why they would refuse to provide the service by request. e.e

any other game company has an option to close an account. I don't understand why Aeria does not. Not exactly happy right now.
