Patch Notes - December 27th, 2010

Greetings,

Here are the updates for December 27th:

Introducing the Hunter Daily Quest System (for levels 16-80)

  • LORE: Monsters from the alternate world have started to appear and cause trouble. Evil power covers the entire Saphael Continent. Every day, many innocent lives are lost. To protect Saphael, the Demon Hunters Guild have decided to recruit brave fighters to go all over the world with them to exterminate the monsters. The previously dispatched force returned with intelligence about the monsters. The guild will send three master demon hunters to defend Kaslow, Ilya and Jale City. Since not everyone is as skills as these three Expert Hunters, you are to put the Hunting Seal on your body to awaaken your hunting cells. But overactive hunting cells can overload the body after a long time, so the seal's effect can only be used for once day.
  • Talk to the Expert Hunter NPC in the 3 major cities to obtain the "Hunting Seal" items. Do this by choosing the correct level range.
    - In Kaslow find Deans at 156, 342
    - In Ilya find Detmond at 290, 68
    - In Jale find Demaia at 177, 173
  • Every character can obtain three or six “Hunting Seal” items once per day. Once a character gets the item, they’ll also get a “hunting seal” buff. Use the “hunting seal” to buy the mission scrolls from the Expert Hunter. The scrolls are divided four categories: regular maps, instanced dungeon maps, battlefield PVP and sprite adventures.
  • Players can click on the mission scroll or report to the hunting masters after they accomplished the mission to get the reward
  • Please Note! Characters will not be able to get more “hunting seal” items if they still obtain any in their inventory, or before the buff disappears.
  • Players LV16-45 can obtain 3 hunting seals per day, players LV46-80 can obtain 6 hunting seals per day.
    Grand Prize reward:

  • This can also be found by going into Events window in the lower left corner of the minimap and reading up on the "Hunting Trial".

Introducing the Guardian of Saphael Mentor System

  • LORE: The Monster Raider Beadice used to wander around following different warriors everywhere lookiong for monsters doing damage to Saphael. So many people have helped her in the past, so she realized that helping others and achieving a joint goal are very important parts of teamwork. Therefore, she is very welling to help others. Now she has returned to help those in need. As long as you can prove that you once helped different warriors protect this land, then she will freely share her combat experiences with you.
  • Veteran players can lead novice players by forming a group, beating certain monsters or dungeons which have achievenments to receive Guardian of Saphael reputation points. Players cab exchange reputation points for rewards with Monster Raider Beadice.
  • To get Guardian of Saphael reputation points:
    - Veterans are players 30+ and Novices are players that are 10+ levels below the top player in the group. The NPC will specifically reward players as veterans or novices. To get the reputation both players must be in the same map and in the same group. Players cannot get Guardian of Saphgael reputation points while in a raid.
  • Beadice, the Monster Raider NPC is found in one of the 3 major cities.
    - In Kaslow find Deans at 156, 342
    - In Ilya find Detmond at 290, 68
    - In Jale find Demaia at 177, 173
  • The Guardian of Saphael reputation points limit is 2000 and can be seen in the Fame tab of their Adventure Log (L).
  • This can also be found by going into Events window in the lower left corner of the minimap and reading up on the "Friendly Camp of Warriors".

Sprite Duel & Sprite Adventure Improvements

  • Now when you join a Sprite Duel, the system will spawn a sprite NPC automatically after 3 minutes.
  • If the sprite loses the duel, you will get a "Magic Browney" to eat.
  • You can now upgrade your Sprite duel rewards with a formula from the Item Mall. How this works:
    1. Win 10 Sprite Duels and exchange your Sprite Arena Victory Runes to the Sprite NPC and receive a Victor's Fortune Bag.
    2. Purchase a "formula victory rune transformation" from the Item Mall.
    3. Go to an alchemist and place the formula into the forumla slot. For the cost of 1 victory rune and 1 formula, you will receive The Challenge Champion's Fortune Bag. Success rate is 100% Note: You DO get to keep BOTH bags!

Localization Fixes

  • Many of the items which were in Spanish have been fixed.
  • Many of the NPC dialogue which was gibberish has been fixed.
  • Many of the Skills which were gibberish has been fixed.
  • Templar legacy armor is now named correctly.

Bug Fixes

  • The 10 dungeon limit has been removed.
  • Aeria's Proud General and Aeria's Glorious General have been returned to the archive.
  • PVP now works again.

Sprite Alchemy

  • Magic Alchemy Rewards have been modified
  • For those unfamiliar with the system, check out the guide HERE

Emergency Patch Notes:

Bug Fixes

  • Fame has been restored.
  • Additional localization errors have been fixed.
  • Skill Summon Cerebus 2 is now working in conjunction with the Sun Talent: Gate of Purgatory 4. The summoned anubis jackat should receive the level increase as intended.

You see it in those patch notes? lol

Naw but seriously. If it's anything like the nerf to Sage's Flash Ambush, don't expect a fix to SDS. Or sages would want an un-nerf too

I thought it wierd how sages bounced off of me.
Although, I've never heard them cry about it.

If SDS is no longer 100%, more power to the rangers. -.-

Killing other sins will also be bothersome...I see myself hitting a lot of air.
