Hello everyone,
So I know many of you have been complaining about the character equipment lately, making claims of it being ridiculously overpowered and characters who would not die when they were [supposed to have been] killed. When we see a notable part of the population complain about an issue, we do take it seriously, so we decided to look in to this. Over the weekend we conducted some controlled tests with the EM16A2, and discovered that...well, you guys were right. Some of the armor really is ridiculously OP, providing up to 4x as much damage reduction as the percentage claims. I've submitted a detailed bug report to Softnyx about the issue, hopefully they'll look in to this and give us a reply on what then plan to do and when fairly soon. Once we get word on an impending change to the armor situation I will update this post. Until then we appreciate your patience, we'll be sure to keep on top of this issue and keep you updated. Thanks!

I've been communicating back and forth with Softnyx concerning this issue, and recently got some hard data on how the game currently calculates armor damage reduction which is...a bit perplexing. I'm working on [read: spending lots of time in excel tweaking formulas] figuring out a solution that will make everybody happy, it's a bit difficult but I've got some ideas for adjustments that might work. I will update you all when we've come to an agreement on how to adjust the Armor so everybody will be happy. Sorry it's taking a while, but we want to avoid hasty changes that might make things even worse somehow, or unintentionally make armor completely useless. Thank you all for your patience!

So after some further testing, we've determined that in the latest patch going in today, armor ONLY affects the body part it's assigned to, and does not stack in any way. I've also been informed that there will not be any stronger armor, 20% on any body part is the maximum that we'll be seeing. So, aim for extremities and you should be able to kill players much faster.
