I might sound like a noob but I'm and Ranger but, everytime i finish a quest IDK which one of the equipment belongs to a ranger it doesn't say which class or anything it just give a little description I have enough of trying to guess which one belongs to Ranger and than it ends up not being ranger >.<

It's not just you - a lot of people are having problems with this at the moment. However, the GM's are aware, and I'm sure that this will be addressed when it comes to the Open Beta.

The two that have the same def but different stat boosts are cloth, the one with mid def is light, heavy is highest. Aeria is aware that armors are confusing right now, and will hopefully fix it in OB.

And just a small note, Rangers are the 3rd job for Ranged DPS, Hunters are the ones you are referring to. I know in every MMO the archer is called a Ranger, but that will cause some confusion in this game.

For the moment the best way to tell is to look at the DEF stat. The higher DEF stat peice in the quest reward is for Heavy armor, the 2nd highest is for Light armor, and the lowest is for cloth.

It's usually easy to tell by just mousing over the piece and seeing what piece of your own armour it compares it to. On the off chance I can't tell by looking at the item itself, I can see that it compares the stats to my currently equipped cloth/light/heavy armour piece and immediately know from that. Of course you need to be at least marginally familiar with your own armour that you have equipped for that though.

Need to be careful with looking at def mods. I'm an engineer. So I sympathize. But I've picked up armor a couple lvls higher than me with like 5-10 more def, and I can't wear it.

My solution since I don't use spellcasters ATM I outfitted myself as a spell caster with "Rune" in the name of every piece.

For heavy armor I have "Battle" in every piece. That way when I grab an item if I see one of those to words its not for me. yet, anyways.

When you hover your mouse over some armor the 'current equipped' armor that it shows always matches the type of the armor you're looking at

you can check your equipment slots to find that 'current equipped' armor and voila

This only works of course if you have at least a full set of cloth, light and heavy armor already equipped Smile which imo everyone should Very Happy
