Guardians

I have been playing LC for just over two weeks, and I like the game itself. My problem is with the people playing it. A vast majority of them are strictly out for nothing and nobody but themselves. This attitude tends to demoralize newer players.
I have noticed that Guardians quickly disappear after taking the job, never to be seen or heard from again. What help is that to a new player? That is why I have decided to set a new example for the Guardians.
First, I believe that the game allows players who have attained the 20th level to become a Guardian. Ihave done so and wish to become a Guardian.
Second, I have created the IrisGuardian Guild for those people like me that think this game should be more sympathetic to new players. Feel free to join, but I will keep track of those in the guild and if you are not doing your job as a Guardian should I won't hesitate to bounce you out of the guild.
Any GM's Or GS's reading this please respond to me by e-mail. Aeria Games has my consent to give out my e-mail address to which ever GM/GS cares to respond.
Thanks for Listening (reading really).

Pain is what reminds me that death constanly pursues me.

Becoming a guardian doesn't require any intervention from AGE staff. It's a decision that players take upon themselves when reaching level 20 or beyond. Being a feature in the game means that you get all sorts, and unfortunately yes, many of the guardians are just in it for the rep points (for every successful apprentice, guardians receive reputation points which they can use to wear reputation armor or exchange for an extreme stone).

To become a guardian, you simply need to revisit the Guardian System. The same button that allowed you to choose a guardian now allows you to register AS a guardian once you pass the level restriction.

Thanks for looking out for the newbies. It's easy to get calloused after playing as long as some of the guardians have, and some of them simply forget what it's like to be completely new to the game. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor, and hope that all goes well for you.

Happy hunting.

As I see it there are 4 rules a guardian should follow. .
1.be helpful answer their questions you have the information they don’t share it with them there is no knowledge that is not power. Examples would be blood seal ability I have meet lvl 30 players that didn’t know about blood seal, dragging and dropping into the quick launch again I have meet lvl 30 player who didn’t know they could do that. The pet system how to feed and get food for it and how to acquire the pets show them and the tech points ect….
2. Help them get their supplies it is not necessary to buy it for them but helps them a lot, show them where to buy the supplies and explain what they are for such as moon stones tool aids And character specific items like knives and picks etc…
3. Help them lvl, don’t lvl them but help them if you lvl them that will only hurt them later down the road (in most cases it will hut more then it helps)
4. Don’t rip off your app don’t go buy them a lvl 13 set of armor and weapon and trade it for a heaven stone ect…

Have more to add to my list feel free but it will cost you 20 heaven stones Razz

As mentioned before, becoming a guardian is a personal choice on reaching lvl 20, it's true some people are out only to earn rep points, but they are genuine guardians in the system that will help you.

Plus there is also the case where someone became a guardian with a pure heart, but after one too many apprentices not logging on to play, and failing them in the process, it tends to become a bother, and they may have a change of heart, this system is a cooperative venture, I urge players and guardians alike, please be vigilant of your fellow man and help the guardian system succeed.

Agree

I agree ...
When i created a new character and got a guardian. I asked for their help and they didnt even respond. Then i saw them in the city a few days later and they asked me if i was going to get to lvl 20 between the 10 days. I felt used and angry. Evil or Very Mad

Just my op! Wink
