[Guide] Sylph System

A lot of people have been asking for more detailed information on the Sylph system, so I am creating this thread as a basic guide on navigating through the sylph system gathered both from information widely available, as well as my own experiences in game to date and guidance from Saveric.

What are Sylphs?

They are the Wartunes pet system that unlocks at level 50.
The can fight by themselves in sylph arena, or you can equip them so they fight with you in pve and pve features.
During fights with an equipped sylph, you can morph into them.

How do I start?

Sylphs unlock at level 50.

You will be given a quest called Sylph Legend where you will need to speak to Azrael at the Sylph Arena

Once completed, you will be required to open map and go to Sylph Atol

Then kill sylphs and gain 10 Sylph essences.

You can either kill Iris, a magical sylph or Pan, a physical sylph. The Pans can be reached by clicking on the map option and selecting L2 Mystic Gate.
You can leave Sylph Atoll at any time by clicking the door icon on your icon bar bottom right.

Collect 10 Sylph Essences to complete the quest and be rewarded with a sylph (Pan or Iris at random).

You will then be asked to set an active sylph. Click the Call button to do this. This will bind the sylph but will allow it to start gaining exp at you gain exp.

The next quest will be to fight the Stranger (which you can see on the map above).

Once this series of quests are completed you are ready to start farming and levelling your Sylph.

Sylph Interface
The Sylph Interface can be accessed from your in game task bar.

On opening you will note that it consists of 3 tabs.

The first tab is Stats and looks like this:

The key features have been numbered for cross referencing:

  1. Sylph List - this list shows all the sylphs you currently have active. You can own up to 6 sylphs at any one moment in time. The list will also identify the sylph name and level to the right of each sylph (blacked out here) and their status if applicable - Meditating or Called (crossed swords). Clicking a sylph in this list will bring up the stats for that sylph.

  2. Name, Rename and Battle Rating - The original name given to a sylph is its type (Pan, Iris, Apollo...). You can rename your sylph by clicking Rename.

Make sure when selecting a name you keep it appropriate and PG-13. The GMs have the power to rename your sylph and/or issue other reprimands should your sylph name not conform with ToS.

Battle Rating - this indicates the strength of your sylph based on its stats, much in the same way your own character has a battle rating.

  3. Call/Rest/Cancel Meditation - Which button shows will depend on the status of the sylph selected.

Call - allows you to summon a sylph to your character to fight with you and gain exp as you do.
NOTE - Sylphs so not currently gain exp from exp books, ToK and Recovery.

Rest - allows you to cancel a summon to make that sylph available for alternative use.

Cancel Meditation - Removes a Sylph from meditation prematurely and allows it to consume the exp collected.

Meditation is a feature located on your farm. On either side of your Tree you will find two pedestals labelled "Sylph Meditation"
By clicking on a pedestal a list will appear of the sylphs available for meditation; select one. You will need to repeat this for each Sylph

Meditation lasts 12 hours and the exp is not consumed until meditation ends/is cancelled. The amount of exp gained depends on your sylph level. You can cancel meditation at any time, either from your farm or from your sylph interface; any exp collected to that point is consumed.

At the end of 12 hours you will get a farm harvest message (like the one you get for crops) and your pedestals will have a grey hand over them.

  4. Sacrifice - can be used to destroy a sylph to make room for further sylphs. When you sacrifice a sylph it will give sepulcrums (amount depends on rarity of sylph, but a white sylph gives 1 sepulcrum). Any exp on the sylph will be lost, so I would only recommend sacrificing unwanted sylphs with very little or no exp. You can only carry out 10 sacrifices a day.

  5. EXP Bar - shows how much exp is required to level up. The level of the sylph is mentioned again to the left of this bar.

  6. Points and Reset Points - every time you level your sylph you get 5 points to assign as you wish. If you have assigned points but wish to change your assignment then you can Reset Points for 100 Balens (Bound Balens can be used).

  7. Assignment of Points - you can assign points in any combination to 4 different stats. You may wish to decide how you assign your points based on strategy or randomness (using the Auto button below). You can increase/decreased the number of free points assigned using the +/- next to each stat.

Once decided, click Confirm to permanently assign points.

The next tab is Enchant

Here you can consume sepulcrums. Each Enchant uses 1 sepulcrum to increase 1 random stat by 1 point. You cannot control the assignment of points using enchant.

Adv. Enchant will consume 50 sepulcrums at once for speed.

Until consumed, sepulcrum can be found in your inventory and can be placed in your Guild Vault. You can gain sepulcrum from Sylph Arena daily and weekly rewards, events, Shop sales from time to time and from Sacrifices (up to 10 sacrifices a day).

The last tab is Engulf

Here you can consume the exp of one sylph into another sylph. Only 50% of the total exp held by a sylph is used up and the sylph donating the exp will be destroyed.

The Primary Sylph is the Sylph receiving the exp, the Secondary Sylph is the Sylph being Consumed.

Lower Left of the secondary sylph notifies you how much exp will be transferred.

Once you are certain, click Engulf to complete the transfer.

The introductory quests basically show you everything you need to know to farm Sylphs.

A teleport to Atoll can be found in Cloud City. If you still have difficulty to access it, you can open your map view and click teleport, and the game will auto-navigate you to it.

At the time of writing this Guide there are only 2 levels in Atoll. Each level is specific to one sylph type. More levels will be added with future patches. In order to access the next level, you must seek the teleport in the previous level. For example, to access level 2 (Pans) you must navigate through level 1. There is no direct access from the teleport to higher level Atoll.

All the wild sylphs in Atoll are all level 50.

Level 1 contains Iris, level 2 contains Pan.

You can collect essences by clicking on a wild sylph. You will either receive an essence or you will be put into a fight with that sylph. If you have to fight, you will receive an essence on victory. Occasionally you will receive the respective sylph seal instead of the essence.

The type of sylph you farm will dictate the type of essence you collect.

Essence of Water can be collected by farming Iris and Essence of Wind can be collected by farming Pan. Iris are MAtk based where as Pan are PAtk based.

You need 60 essences of one type to exchange for a seal of the same type.

Exchange can be carried out at the NCP called Alice. There are currently 3 Alices, one on each level and one at the teleport into Atoll.

The Alices actually in Atoll only exchange essences that can be farmed on their own level, where as the Alice at the Teleport entrance to Atoll exchanges all the available essences.

Once you trade essences for their respective seal, the seal will enter your inventory. You will need to open this to get an actual sylph seal. The most common quality of sylph that can drop is a white, however higher quality sylphs can drop randomly with a lower drop rate. The best colour dropped to date is Blue.

Again, the sylph seals will turn up in your inventory. Water Seal gives Iris Seals, Wind Seal gives Pan Seals.

In order to open the sylph seals you will need an empty spot in your sylph list.

you got to read ur quest again

for example your quest must be saying : Slyph Atoll L3 (0/10) here L3 means the level 3 of atoll which is where we get fire slyph

if your quest says L1 then u need to go Level 1 where we get iris and hunt 10 iris ( its hunting 10 iris not collecting 10 essence)

same wise if its L2 then u got to hunt 10 Pan, if L3 then 10 Amazon Queen, and if L4 then u got to hunt 10 gaia

hope this helps ^^

You need 10 of the same type. So either 10 water OR 10 wind but a combination of both will not be sufficient.

@Muzii he means the starter quest for sylphs and not circuit quests, which I have not covered here

and Sorry, been busy irl and haven't had time for fully update this, will do when I have time.
