Lvl 29 at Caergate

Hello everyone, so I noticed that players from Caergate when I was still there still haven't moved on to Caergate. This came to my attention because I noticed that players that are not level 29 yet can barely do anything without being guarded by a level 29 player from the same faction. Also I can clearly see that most of these players are capable of surviving in Viledon like regular Viledon players. So my suggestion is to put a restriction on how long a player can stay in Caergate at level 29. If he/she can't level up to 30 within that given time limit, then he/she will be kicked out of Caergate and they will have to find a way to level up to 30 to enter Viledon. I know this could take out the freedom of the higher level players in Caergate, but there are also lower level players that need that freedom. So Aeria, please consider this suggestion. I don't know if it will do anything good or bad, but at least some players that want to play will be happy. Thank you and have a good day.

I popped into Caergate today to do the Shirley escort on my lvl 27 character and was greeted by an attacking Free Knights Defender with 12k HP...that's more HP than most Defenders in Viledon that don't have unique gear. It took around 20 people mobbing the player to kill her and she still took out about half or more. That's just a bit too overpowered for Caergate.

So that's why I'm trying to ask them to change some things around here so other players can enjoy the game. LOL I'll try taking a guess, is it Darzel?

What's happening is that they lose a small amount of EXP every time they let a mob kill them. This lets them stay as Level 29s and farm for Unique gear and other powerful drops from Titan and the sub-bosses.

The German version has already fixed this issue by moving the loss limit to Level 30. We do not have any indication that any of the solutions applied to the German version will be applied here. One may still hope.

Support your faction; share your spares.

Players like myself have left the game because of the situation at CG. Apparently, the game owner is more interested in pleasing the handful of wallet warriors who want to stay there then encouraging new players to sign up.

Until they make any changes there are a few tips for enjoying Caergate:

1) Don't expect to survive out there if you are alone. Shadow Walkers *love* solo targets and will gank you faster than you can blink. (Note: The exception to this is if you *are* a SW, in which case you are the one doing the ganking) If you wander Caergate by yourself you may as well be wearing a "kill me" sign.

2) It's PvP. Expect to die and die often. It *will* happen. Try not to get upset about it. Simply pick yourself up off the floor and head back out. The more you fight and analyze your own mistakes the better you will become at surviving.

3) Ask for help! There are many who will be glad to help you. If you're doing the engineer escort put out a request for assistance. Personally, I love wandering that route with my SW in stealth and guarding my people, especially newcomers to the area. Any opposing SWs who attack my charge get a very nasty surprise! O_O

4) If you are levels 27-29...for crying out loud leave the lowbies alone! People just getting there who are only 23-25 give up in frustration when they are ganked repeatedly. My personal limit is 2 levels lower than me. Anyone below that I leave alone...unless they attack me first or are in a group I am fighting against.

As for those opposing players with uber gear who can take on whole crowds by themselves...Get a strong group together (or even two groups) and *hunt* them...reapeatedly and mercilessly. Hunt them in Caergate, hunt them in Janus, and hunt them in turnpike. Hunt them so hard that they will want to move on.

There is a whipper and a punisher (both lvl 29s) who I go out of my way to target during Janus and Turnpike any time I see their names. Even though I am not tough enough to take them down I always leave them hurting enough that the person behind me finishes them off.

Hello,

Personally, I do not want some of them here in Mereholt or Barbiron. When I first entered Caergate at Level 23, these bullies would not leave me alone. I could not get further than the end of the first hallway. Ever. I finally completed an escort mission because there must have been 50 of us doing it at once.

I believe that I was wearing the kill me, please, sign. Although it appeared that Sentinels were most fond of me and my dogtags. Yes, if you are 27-29, let the people new to Caergate have some opportunity to play. I left there shortly after entering and made levels by repeatedly doing missions from the "vending machines" at levels 23-29 which takes time but is not as frustrating as being someone's punching bag on their home turf.

Hello Scotch214,

I am in the Free Knights Faction. I have leveled up without Caergate and am no longer eligible for entry there but thank you for your offer of protection!Smile Perhaps I will see you in Barbiron or Viledon-where, truth be told, I am still having my bottom handed to me on a too regular basis!

Michelle♥
