Ok I have a couple quick questions before I transfer AP into Starcoins.

Are our characters going to be wiped after open beta, and if so will the starcoins used during open beta be refunded when the game releases or are they just used for open beta?

I do not want to waste starcoins by buying the wrong things if they only last for open beta and not refunded.

There will not be a wipe at the end of Open Beta. Characters from Open Beta will transfer to release.

Uhm...There might be. But it is just a general rule of thumb that Aeria Games doesn't wipe Open Beta.

They would tell us if they planned to. And there's no post saying they will, so it's safe to assume they won't.

I'm pretty sure they've never wiped a Open Beta before....maybe once....not 100%, but pretty sure.

Don't think you can buy SC during this time.

This patch is to enable that I believe...Well, part of it is, seeing as they just released an event for buying SC.

Anyways, the ONLY time I have ever seen a wipe after open beta with Aeria was during DK Online when issues with the login server was causing people to login to other people's accounts. With the server still being >24 hours old and a big impact from an issue, a wipe was imminent to protect everyone. Every other time, a rollback was used instead of a wipe to undo any damage that was caused by something.

That being said, unless there is a huge bug that caused everyone issues since launch, there is virtually no chance of a wipe. And with the intro of SC's coming soon, the chances of a wipe goes to none because it becomes a huge hassle with AP refunds, etc.
