The biggest flaw with paladins atm (IMO) is that Aeria decided to remove half their pvp and pve value by -more or less - removing their ability to heal.
Paladins play very nice as a more back line half support/half extra dps depending on circumstance.. Well they did in CB and ST.
Now if a paladin isn't helping dps they have nothing to really do because they can't help heal like they should be able to.. Since that's half the class.
Paladins are less useful in a pve party again because they can't help heal and there aoe only does a tiny bit of dmg really.. compared to any other classes.
What paladin needs is its heal unerfed - and made in a more sensible way so that its actually able to preform how its meant to in PVP - I should be able to be a half healer if I need to be.
From a pve point they do need there aggro skills improved or just removed and new better skills that actually dose something put in.. amd leave the tanking to the current tank class (warrior).

Armor of thorns buffed so its dmg hits as fast as an SM dot and possibly made 100%. - Currently I feel it is worthless in pvp and arguably in pve. If this is made 100% and hits at the rate of a SM dot (not more dmg just the tick is as fast) it could make for a second aoe.. It would at lest be worth casting in PVP.
Divine Sigil made weaker but made into an AOE - 1 target debuff is worthless in pvp.. The people are dead before it even matters but if you could lower a bunch of peoples def it would help some.
Avatar boosted back to 30secs - 15secs is just not worth it... Also optionally this made able to cast on someone else... So it is also a support skill which would make it far more worth it. And second optionally make the person immune to stun/stun like debuffs.. So that your not just stun locked through the entire time.
Open-ended insults (and provoke really) aggro pull greatly buffed (it doesn't pull aggro or hold aggro.. at all) and perhaps for pvp use.. It could force enemies to switch target to you.... for trolling purposes
- someone else suggested it could be made a dot. Idk how I feel on a dot honestly - but paladins could use a second aoe.. =/
The heal made useable. 1min cool down would make it worthwhile in pve but it would still be lacking in PVP but significantly better. In pve you could potentially duo with a warrior and you be able to keep both alive. I'd much prefer though they revert to a CB/ST heal - and just balance it more however.
Basically every other skill to me seems fine as it is... That's my thoughts on paladin anyway.
Look forward to seeing the second skill tree when its implemented..
