Seriously, when I did hardcore workouts in martial arts we used nature and ourselves for free. Examples are pull ups on trees, wall sits with a heavy object or person jumping on you, many variety of push ups (some times on a round object), and so on. A lot of these new things coming out are just for money, and even though they persuade you with all these fancy pictures of people improving muscle mass and tone, the same thing could be accomplished for free with hardwork and creativity, just saying.
Also, I'm pretty sure there's a way to pirate the DVDs that cost a lot of money, so right away I would take those out of the equation.
If I had to choose, I'd go with base if you're budget conscious, or deluxe if you have a little more money. Ultimate is overkill and a marketing technique, from my experience.
