I believe that your PC came with an integrated nVidia/ATI chipset which is lacking the Pixel Shader
requirement and Hardware Transform & Lighting
) in order to run the game.
is a tool for Transform and Lightning
hardware emulation. So it is very useful for running TnL
games on video cards that do not have on-board dedicated circuits for TnL
calculations (like all Voodoo, Kyro, some Radeon and older). It uses power from the Central Processing Unit
to do emulation.
1) You have to run 3D Analyse in Administrator mode to save the files in the program files folder, where the game is stored. Simply right click on the program, choose Properties
, go to the Compatibility
tab and check the Run as Administrator
box before you run the program.
2) When you open the 3D-Analyze v2.36b program go to the File Selection box and hit "Select
", when the window opens go to the Launcher.exe
file and double click on the icon.
3) Under the DirectX 8.1 and 9.0 Options go down to the Pixel and Vertex Shader
title and check off the box "Force max. pixel shader version 1.1
4) Under the OpenGL
Options, check off the "Force anisotropic filtering
5) Next under the File Selection box Click On "Run
This program must stay open in the background in order for WT to operate, hope this works.
PS. There are two things that I think you should note, as this is an unofficial method it has a few problems you should bear in mind. TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK
Firstly, as your graphics card is inadequate for supporting the requirement, the CPU will be bearing most of the processes as it will be performing the calculations to make it work. As a result it might cause your CPU to overheat, so don't run it for too long.
Secondly, as the program has to inject a file into the WT folder, APEX may deem it as a hack so I suggest you try it on an alternate just in case.
