So, guys, I'm veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery curious to know more about this extreme mode called Campaign, which hereafter will be refered as CP. Well, I have few questions and comments about it; let's goooooooooooo. /o/
Ok, niiiiiiiice, when you see the broker around the plazas, what is it? Tcharam!! It's not a bug, it means that CP is in the air, crazily wanting to step on the Earth to make everybody drink a mad beer and flame on the foruns about alt farm, lag, stupid NPCs and the oldest feature: mathematics!!!!
At first, CP mode is present in MANY online games, if not all of them. I don't know, but many online games have this mode, which is very important, by the way. Called of many other forms, CP is basically a moment in which the story of your char advances, meaning that you'll have to log in and do act to make your character advance; ok, nice, brillant, oh lala! Don't expect special cutscenes with your character, please. Ok, ok, given the basics, let's see how DWO behaves towards CP...
WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!! WARNING!!
THIS SECTION DOESNT ALLOW PEOPLE WHO SAY ''DON'T COMPARE DWO TO OTHER ONLINE GAMES''
It's that they think DWO was purely made without influence of no other online game and thus shouldn't be compared. But they're right, DWO is online and it's not at the same time. Basically a PVP game, something that has in many other online games, but it can't be compared somehow. If somebody finds the answer, please PM me immediately. The style is different, I know, but it doesn't mean DWO must have poor features, eh?
Ok, thank you!!!
Now CP, guys: I'll talk only about what I know regarding DWO CP, ok? If I'm wrong in any point, I'd be more than glad to know. So, the first nonsense thing I see in CP is the numbers... % there, more % here, than 4734349349093% there, this and that, something very complex that I doubt if 30% of the community knows what all those numbers mean. Ohh, wait, the game doesn't explain anything. - 1
For example, there are times in which a faction with 1 city... I said 1 city! No, I typed.
Ok, 1 city, but when CP comes against a faction with 6 + more cities, the faction with less city has... err, how can I say that without being too nonsense? >__> Ok! Err, the faction with less city haaaaaaaaaaaas more troooooooooooooops! WOOOOOW! * cheers * Ok, so let's think together: I'm a General and I have 7 cities; the reader has 1 city and we want to make a battle to see who's lags more. I own thousands of kilometers and my opponent - poor him - has just few things to equip himself. But crazily he has more people to battle than I do! O______O B-b-b-b-ut! I have 7 cities, doodz! D: - 1
CPPPPPPPPP shuuush!!! \o/
Nice, you can notice so far that it's a very organized mode in the game, heh? * hater appears * TUM DUM DUM!! * Mortal Kombat noise for a new challenger *
''Ahh, but thse numbers has to do with melees'' Ok, so... Can't the invisible cities we get provide soliers to us during CPs? We get invisible cities to still stay in disadvantage against low factions? Good. What do cities change?
''Technology, peace etc, a couple of things, bleeeh'' Ohh, really? You mean, if I don't play CP, a very important game mode in online games (Ohh, I forgot DWO isnt an online game...), I make everybody advance?
So I waste my time to make people advance in $$ mostly? /o/ ''Yes =('' - 1
BONUS: ''By getting peace, we will have more people in our cities'' Where are those people? ''Sorry =(''
Few questions now:
1. What's the role of CP in DWO? What does it really change PERSONALLY? I'm emphasizing personally because it must have a personal impact to the player.
Possible answer: It can change, for instance, the maps for each city.
My reply: Ok, who's the idiot that thinks of a reading the name of a city before creating a room? Worse than that, if there's a 3/4 room, one wont join because a specific city isn't the most important one. C'mon. Also, maps can change, but the players make the routine of the game changes. How? Let's see. The majority plays on Plains, if after CP Plains is removed from all cities of a faction, people will avoid battling against this faction because many players don't like to fight in maps other than Plains. So, the routine of the game changes not because of the CP itself, but because the other maps are pretty much stupid to some modes. So you clearly recognize that the game has a big flaw regarding battle areas.
2. They say CP makes the time in the game advance. Ok. If Zhang He dies and other assume his post, which difference it does?0 I would like to know, for real. Don't tell me that the only difference is that I won't get + 7 basic damage anymore. Nooooooooo.
3. What's the role of that stupid streak rank? What does the number one gets in the end? The fame of alt farmer? <<< it makes sense.
