Why is the November gear reward form asking for our email

I wonder why
This is the first reward form that asked for it so I am just asking why.

I wonder about that too.

But I separate the email I use for gaming and working, so it doesn't really quite bother me.

Can ask for any personal information including e-mail. Can also include random links and such to a phished or fake site.

Hm....., I sincerely doubt Vert is linking us to some sort of fake site though. Considering there's only one link to the form, and it's from Vert obviously. >.>
