THIS GUIDE IS GOING TO BE MADE A SHORT 3 MIN VIDEO. [april 11th]
NOTE: This is a work in progress, More in-depth analysis AND pictures on the terms in this post will be added as I have the ability to gain knowledege and when i have free time.
This post is a guide to people just starting the game and wondering how they should go about what weapons they have.
Older players please do not flood if you are not contributing to the ideas of the post. Especially do not
flame or turn this into a social event, as this is for the advancement of the
younger community. It also speaks on simpler terms than the other guides.
Yes, everyone has their favorite weapons, some even only have one weapon, BUT... A sound balance and knowledge between powers is the key to success. Guides like Yuri's wiki only explain game modes and stats but do not actually tell you what to do. And the guide to building good cp weapons can be used as a reference to choosing what weapons you will ultimatly go with.
This is also An addition to the guide to building good campaign weapons. It actually deals with building weapons for the game IN GENERAL.
There are 4 weapon types you must have to be successful in this game all around the board.

ONE WEAPON For DEFEAT.

Defeat weapons only need one thing... attack. the goal in defeat is to kill hordes of weaker troops. therefor defense damage ect. is not needed.

1.
a. Crescent Blade (With Crescent on c1) Temper must have Attack, all other temper is optional. a good idea is to eventually mod speed 5 times on this weapon, as it is better the faster you can run.
or
b. TBlades (with Thrust on c1) Temper must have alot of attack. already fast at running, you should probably mod attack temper max on this one. Also using c2 (noobs.. this means doing one regular attack and then pressing the combo button alot) you can shoot out a vorpal floating orb, and that will kill troops without the need of attack
These are what I've been studying as the most used, and most effective weapons for this gamemode. Simply look at the Maximum KOs ranking and see all the Cblades and Tblades on there.
Another good one i recommend personally would be the Hand Axe with Crescent, or the BattleRod with Pierce. These are "ground pound moves". You get the enemy to surround you instead of hitting them all from the side. Then you use C1 to attack everywhere around you. these weapons are normally slow running but are low flasks, so i suggest using a speed scroll.
ONE CAPTURE WEAPON.
CLICK HERE to see additional weapon options
you need three stats at the very least in Capture. Attack Damage and Defense.
I personally suggest the Tsabers (Moon/Fan) but this is at your disgression.
I will argue that this is the best weapon hands-down for capture. there are other weapons that have slight advantages in certain situations but Tsabers has the best allround capture capabilities.

ONE CONFRONT WEAPON.
LINK COMING SOON
This weapon can literally be anything you want it to be, so make it your favorite weapon to fight with. YOU ONLY NEED ATTACK AND DEFENSE (and life). DO NOT PUT ON DAMAGE FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER. you may put on life and mosou but these are "Fluff" and are truely not necessary to the core gameplay in confront. Im not saying don't put them on though as they are always a good idea.
At the moment, High Life weapons are common in this game, I suggest making your weapon more defensive and life oriented.

ONE FIGHTING STRENGTH WEAPON/SHOWDOWN WEAPON
CLICK HERE to see additional weapon options
This weapon can also be anything you want it to be, but the Guide to good CP weapons should give you a good grasp on a weapon you could use (use the link on the top). This weapon COULD BE YOUR CAPTURE WEAPON, but if you are using my suggestion, the Tsabers for capture.... it is advisable you have another weapon. As the Tsaber-users will be at a disadvantage when fighting PvP style. This weapon needs at least ATTACK DAMAGE AND DEFENSE, just like the capture weapon. Note you will be fight other players more in showdown and fighting strength than in capture.
When you first make your Fighting strength weapon, I Suggest Tempering It as 3-3-3-3-0
or 3-3-3-2-2 to have an All-Around capability.
Then.. after you get a hang of the weapon in all situations... then you can change it up

Those are the 4 weapon types you should have if you never buy an armory, or are just starting the game.
Please lead other players to this post if they are asking questions. I will make it better and better as time goes on. I will not abandon this post even if no one contributes but me, as i have newer players to teach as well.
NEW SECTION: MANAGING ITEMS
lets talk items then,
now that we talked about all the weapons you need in "What You Need In Your Armory"
here are all the items that will go with that. This will show you all the basic everyday and campaign items you need to be successful without wasting space in your storage. With this anyone should be readily equip for any instance so,,, no excuses!
If you dont have space it is ok to not try to get the level 2 items
1. Fire orb
2. Inferno orb
3. Ice orb
4. Blizzard orb
5. Vorpal orb
6. True Vorpal orb
7. Wind orb
8. Tornado orb
9. Lightning orb
10. Blitz orb
11. Stone belt
12. Granite belt
13. Large Flask
14. Speed Scroll
15. Remedy
16. Ginseng
17. Thermal Scroll
18. Windscroll
19. Herbal Elixar
20. Rain Amulet
21-25: 6 items of player preference
26-30: Free space used for sellable items or more player preference slots.
If you want to have dyes, fabrics, and minor items like Tiger, shell, and dragon amulets storm/hurricane... try to limit them to specific instances you intend to use them against NPCs. They generally are NO GOOD in pvp competitive games (with the exception of the Hurricane Card, which should be factored into your 5 player preference slots).
same thing goes for LT food, Spirit souls, raw items, and anything else you desire for luxary.
good luck...
