Looking for a sniper rifle

Bolt action mostly like
Ok, we all know that you start with your M24 and you're given the SV98, but they both tags most of times (if not everytime).
So I would like to buy something more powerful... but such rifle should also be fast enough, because if my first shot misses, I want to fire again within the same hour (lol, joking ofc).

I heard the PGM is a buffed TPG, but this means it's even slower and unstable: not really the best choice for what I'm looking! (side question: is there any difference between standard PGM and USflag PGM ?)

What do you suggest me to buy?

Thanks! Very Happy

FRF2 is the best euro shop sniper. Fast scope, relatively low QS speed, but good damage.
IMO PGM's scope is a little too slow and the QS speed is the same. It does have more damage though.

K

I recommend TPG-1 for the first scope.

I would Suggest you trying the ASW-338.
It promotes quickswitching ( awfully slow re-fire rate withouth ).
It has a scope that gets u used to the one that FR-F2 uses. Excellent speed and zoom (imo)
It rarely tags... Mostly only on armor, but I guess you're a PUB-type player.
It is cheap mod-wise you only need the trigger and if u want a custom scope.
HOWEVER ... it itself costs 58 000 € , it has only 5/10 ammo with trigger, and it is REALLY heavy, so u move around slow with it.

Although it doesn't make "BANG" noise like TPG/PGM but it still has lots of power to it. If you really used to a loud firing sniper though, i won't probably like ASW.

In my opinion there are three ways to go for a sniper rifle which depend on playstyle.

FR-F2:
If you are more of an offensive sniper I would recommend the FR-F2. It rarely tags, has good mobility, fast scope. So quickscoping is not a prblem. The 10 round magazine is also nice. You have twice the firepower of a normal scope. In my opinion wall penetration is not as good as the TPG1.
My mods:
LRB
SS Scope
10 round mag

TPG-1
Compared to the FR-F2 the TPG is very slow. The mobility is bad, and the scope is rather slow.
So quickscoping isn't an option in my opinion. The TPG-1 is more of a stationary gun where you take advantage of your position. You need to hardscope a lot because of the slow zoom.
The awesome thing about it is its OHK. It almost never tags. i shot into people's feet in escort an they got down. Its wall penetration is also good. Shoting through edges gives a frag.
It was my first Scope and I still like it.
My mods:
.338 barrel
HP Scope
heavy grip
heavy stock

ASW .338:
It is something between the TPG-1 and the FR-F2 an silenced. Tagging isn't an issue except arms, hands, feet... but why to aim there in the first place?
Mobilitywise its like a TPG-1 with a rather quick scope, almost like the FR-F2. So it can be used offensive. But: The rate of fire is pretty poor and the ammo is pretty limited.
My mods:
SS Scope
.338 Lapua trigger

I hope I was able to help.

System specs: Intel i5 2500K @ 4.0GHz / Thermalright Archon / AsRock Extreme3 Gen.3 (LGA 1155 / Z68) / 8 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz 8-8-8-24 / EVGA GTX 560 TI FPB 1024MB

pretty much this

pgm was something betwen tpg and frf2 but is now outclassed by the ASW, though i still prefer the PGMs scope type (similar to tpg) over ASWs scopes (similar to frf2)

nonetheless, TPG, ASW and FRF2 are the best, from most reliable to most versatile

I really dislike the ASW... Sad

Also, you can use it since almost the beginning because you can buy it at lvl.6 (or close to).
Terribad! >_<

The TPG is very nice, but I have the feeling it's a nerfed PGM.
