Aeria Joins With Pokelabo To Bring Monster Paradise To Mobile Phones
Aeria Games is slowly starting to strengthen their mobile games division by expanding on their core franchises and teaming up with various studios and companies to get select mobile titles out to the market and to gamers who game on the go.
Aeria's latest partnership is with Monster Paradise creator, Pokelabo, the game is a monster-taming role-playing card game, and it will be free-to-play for iOS devices and mobile phones.
Originally released exclusively in Japan but on its way West courtesy of Aeria Mobile, Monster Paradise will feature more than 500 monsters of different species, and multiple monsters can be combined to make new and even more powerful monsters. Along with the conventional solo play, players can also form alliances with friends on Facebook and Twitter to go head-to-head with seriously powerful adversaries.
If you think that sounds a little familiar, you're probably not wrong. Character images from the Japanese version of the game have a very Pokemon-ish look to them, and taming monsters for use in battle against other monsters is hardly the most original idea ever. But Aeria Games, which has a user base of over 35 million "core gamers" around the world, says Monster Paradise is a "perfect match" for the audience it wants to reach with the rapidly-growing Aeria Mobile.
Developed by Pokelabo, the free-to-play Monster Paradise is expected to hit Western iOS devices later this year.
Lan Hoang, Chief Executive Officer, Aeria Games commented in the press release about the upcoming title and Aeria's recent acquisition of the publishing rights, saying...
"Monster Paradise is a perfect match for the emerging core gamer demographic we are reaching with our mobile game portfolio across Western markets,” ... “Aeria Mobile is quickly adding fresh new content, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with Pokelabo by bringing players additional games in the future.”
The game itself sees players taming monsters and strengthening and training said monsters in order to repel incoming invasions. Monsters can also be combined together to create even more powerful monsters and it's also possible to work together with friends via Twitter or Facebook to fight off the evil invaders.
This marks the fourth game that Aeria Games plans to publish for mobile devices, as they've been using an aggressive strategy to try to appeal more of their games to more than 35 million gamers within their marketing demographic.
The game is set for release this year for mobile phones
