Worried about making a char, don't understand talent system

I noticed that there are no "cookie cutter" builds for this game.I can't find a guide that says "you put points here and that's final".I also don't really understand the talent/skill system. So if I spend half of my CP on Warrior skills, and half of my CP on Cleric skills, will I be weakening both of them?Do you get an unlimited amount of gold to spend on reg. skills? Is there any place I can find a knowledge build for specific classes, or am I on my own? Thanks a ton.

CP is for each different class, what you spend on warrior doesn't affect cleric.
Also, if you hit max level and continue killing stuff on a certain class, you will still get CP for that class.
Your gold isn't unlimited, but you can always make more by killing monsters, doing quests, etc.

KP however, is limited to how high you can level your character, so that's something to worry about. Though you can change it on one class with an item, it's really expensive to do, so you should choose what you put your points in wisely there.

There are some recommended builds different ways to play a class, but I'd encourage you to just look at the different talents for each class you want to play and plan out how you'd like to play it.(Ex: cast speed cleric, mcrit mage, etc)

When it comes to CP an gold, there will always be an unlimited amount of it. As you increase your class and general skills, the CP and gold cost will increase, so you will most likely have to farm both a little bit. The only resource that you have a set amount of is Knowledge Points, which is why I encourage you to plan out how you want to build your class and which talents you'd like to spend your Knowledge Points on.

Hi there. Smile

You are right, there aren't really "cookie cutter" builds because there is a LOT of room for customization. When you play a class, you earn CP for that class by killing things, so the more you play that class, the more CP you will have to spend on it. Spending CP for one class will not affect the CP you have/can earn for another class, so simply by leveling class skills, you will not be weakening other classes.

However, when it comes to regular skills, you do have to pay gold for those. Technically there is unlimited gold, but you have to earn that gold through quests and trading. But no, you won't have a magical infinite gold fund ready and waiting for you.

I recommend checking out the Class Guide/Info Forums here and browsing the Eden Eternal Wiki. Both of these have a wealth of information waiting for you. You could also ask around in-game and see if you can get some good advice for more experienced players for the classes you like the most.
