To be direct and to the point, what reason are you GM's giving any of us players to actually stay here and wait for this game to ever get off the ground?
|
Aeria does not
expect you to sit around and wait for a game to finish it's development. Sure, they would love to see the community as active and happy as possible, but
there is only so much they can and are allowed to do and say to help this situation.

So far, you give tidits of information on rare occasion, seemingly when there is enough uproar and the potential for folks to write this game off just like Aeria has written other games off (Kitsu Saga for one).
|
This is incorrect. GMs give you information
when they are given the permission to do so and it is readily available. Not simply because someone is demanding it - they would provide as much information as they could regardless of whether or not the community has a negative attitude.

Aeria in general has a bad customer service reputation and to be blunt, you GM's need to learn what it means to keep communicaton lines open with your customers/players. If you truly want to keep interest, why aren't you giving weekly updates? Even if its just to say nothings new or at least discuss what things have been done/planned.
The fact you are not taking the time to post anything simply makes me feel you don't care and in turn it makes me not care about this game. So far, all that has been shown is over-hyping and under-delivering. I hope you think about this and consider actually keeping your players and customers informed instead of treating us like mushrooms - in the dark and... well, you know mushrooms!

I want to say this: We are lucky that Aeria has been kind enough to provide an Official Community for Lime Odyssey so early in it's development.
There have been
many games, that at the current stage LO is in, did not have any community means of communication besides fan-sites.
Companies are not obligated to give you weekly announcements the moment the game enters development. Do you really expect this of them? Do you think Aeria expects Sirius to provide weekly, translated documentation of everything that has been done that week, and then also expect them to allow Aeria to make that information public for the community and media? The industry doesn't operate that way, whether the LO Team would like it to or not.
After all this, the LO Team, and by LO Team I mean Game Master Nyago and Product Manager Anex, still give you updates when they can, and are allowed to.

As said before, even small news would be okay. We allready got a info post bout warrior class....where is the news post for the other classes? Stuff like that would help allready. Keep people interested.
|
Anex is very busy, we are lucky he took the extra time to write us an article on Warriors, or even any of his past articles in general. He's busy with Lime Odyssey's progression.

As it is now I dont think LO will be one of those games that gets peoples attention easily...and I think aeria thinks the same (seeing that they had to give us a LO trailer that was double the speed as the original trailer to make people think the game is faster then it actually is).
|
I strongly disagree with this. Sirius developed Ragnarok Online, a well known game. This game got a lot of attention the moment it was announced.

We dont need news like "the devs fixed 12 bugs today, hooray!"...even obvious stuff that most people might allready know might get new potential players attention...the community need this for sure...

...What?

Those statements are a bit contradicting. If that's the information that Aeria is allowed to provide for the time being, why should they not do so? Simply because you personally do not find that kind of information appealing, doesn't mean others won't.
This goes hand in hand with those that do nothing but complain about LO's release when ANY kind of news is posted.

Nyago, as I wrote earlier we don't always need the lastest news directly from the developers. Sure, that would be sweet, but even we addicted and desperate gamers know that this wont be possible.
Why not just do what you guys did earlier and make a lil post about the mage class or about some background story? It wouldnt be much information to most, but at least people notice that the forum is still active. Some people on these forums are really trying to get the forums active again....you guys would be a lot of help if you could just point out some obvious in-game stuff.
A post about the weapon categories, about the citys, about the job and battle classes, about the card system. There is lots of stuff to talk about...

See all my above statements.
