As above clearly states, I am new. I decided to try PVP but find that I know next to nothing about that or an Archer for that matter.

I went with the recommended build of 7/2 str/dex and have noble gears.
I don't have anything lapised in them yet and for that matter am not too terribly rich either.

So does anybody have any Archer PVP pointers they would like to share?
like strategies, gear lapising, ect...

You say you are new, but you are giving a UM stat build.

If you really are new and not terribly rich, I'd strongly suggest starting a HM toon instead. UM toons are expensive.

That said, any gear that you build for 1-15 PvP can be transferred to a UM toon if you want to upgrade.


At first you are not going to be able to do much in the way of damage.
My suggestion would be to get all the debuff skills you can and just try to be as big a nuisance as possible

Then, when you can get a bit more money, slowly upgrade your gear.
Don't bother with any luck lapis - you won't get enough to make a difference without mortgaging your house.
Linking a single level 6 shrewd into your gloves would bring your dex up to around 70, which would be adequate (100 would be better, but that's quite a bit harder).
For the rest, just pile in as much strength as you can.

Putting enchantments on your bow is a must in order to do any real damage - but at over 1B per enchantment for a successful enchant that can be extremely expensive. Especially as the chances of success go down rapidly after the 3rd enchant.
After level 6 it isn't really feasible to enchant it yourself so you would need to get GM enchants - which are very expensive.

So just lapis the **** out of strength then?
And enchant when I can.

Basically the GM's guarantee to enchant your item to a specific level.


But don't be disappointed if you don't do much damage.
Pick your targets, some people are still squishy.
If nothing else you can interrupt the opposition healers which will help your faction kill.

(For HM) I would do 4 dex 3 str up to lvl 13, then 5 luc and 2 dex till lvl 30!
IF you are UM, would I do 5 luc, 2 str and 2 dex up to lvl 60!
Then reset then 75 dex, rest to luc and str!!

the OP was asking for a build/linking for an archer in 1-15 PvP



in addition, it is better to work on terms. IF you can get some lvl6's, you can try to link it if you want. link only if you can. 1-15 is based on a wallet competition, which might be a problem for you. Although try to follow up merlin's advise and if you experience that that PvP style doesn't suit you, please repost. Maybe we can give you an another strategies or goals
