Title NPC's and you

The "new" now-localized version
Kay so, since I know what this is actually about now and there's no official write-up about it, I'll just go ahead and make a comprehensive list about it now before someone asks for it. Proactive approach is good.

Well, now that these guys have been localized, it's a lot easier to explain. The whole thing centers around these two guys, found prospectively around 390, 281 Kaslow Plains:

Make sure to note their names, each one will do something slightly different for you.

So, what do these wonderful guys do? Well, it's actually kind of neat.
What they do is, they sell titles. Ok, so, less of the obvious, but really. That's what they do. Here's the cool part though, they sell titles that are different but also the same as titles you (probably) already have.
Yeah I'm sure that confused you. Well, preface is that there's that new title system that was patched in that there's totally no real notice of in the patch notes, you can read a bit more about that here, as well as find out what a lot of titles actually do.
Anyway, the reason these NPC's are there is because it's possible to miss a few titles during regular levelling progression. And now, since some (of those) titles have unique effects, that's actually kind of a problem. So they put these guys into the game to fix it. Neat, right? Right. Ok now that that's explained, the titles they sell aren't the exact titles as what you could've already gotten. They have the same exact effects as if they were, but they're actually different titles. Also note that if you have the original title you can still get these, so that's cool too.

Now that that's settled, let's go on about the specifics and what you're supposed to do.
Each one has a list of quests to accept, and each one also has a shop portion which sell these little coin deals called "Title Merchant Emblems" for 100g each(hey, cool, gold sink almost but not really). Each quest will require you to purchase X amount of those little coin deals and also talk to the other NPC for who knows why(don't ask just do it). Once you do that you can go back to the original npc, turn in the quest and you get a title. Pretty fast, easy and instant gratification.

And now for which NPC gives which.

Let's talk about Kaisen first. He'll give you titles equivalent to the titles you'd acquire from completing the guild quest for specific guild bosses. List below of which is which(since it's not 100% obvious).

Level 50 - Equivelent of Xerxes
Level 55 - Equivelent of Jalmano
Level 60 - Equivelent of Nazrudin
Level 65 - Equivelent of Surbora
Level 70 - Equivelent of Utumno
Level 75 - Equivelent of Aschenbrand
Level 80 - Equivelent of Ulgioth
Level 85 - Equivelent of Foras
Level 85 - Equivelent of End Six

And now for Hausen, which will give you the equivalent of dungeon quest titles:

Level 50 - Equivelent of Prairie Cave
Level 52 - Equivelent of Condemned Mine
Level 55 - Equivelent of Deserted Temple
Level 60 - Equivelent of Echo Cave
Level 65 - Equivelent of Old Siwa Island
Level 70 - Equivelent of Roaring Maw
Level 75 - Equivelent of Holy King's Tomb
Level 80 - Equivelent of Ancient City of Vines
Level 85 - Equivelent of Sunken Mechanical Fortress
Level 85 - Equivelent of Phoenix Tower

And... I think that's it, actually. Confused? Go ahead and ask questions, they'll get answered.

As far as tl;dr goes...
Two new NPC's, they sell titles that provide the same effect as dungeon and guild boss titles while not being the exact titles. You can acquire both titles and they will both function the same within the new "title bonus" system.

Thanks for putting this together Smile thank god someone had the sense to.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit!

As an append, this is supposed to be fixed soon in the next localization patch so... you might want to prepare to edit this as a general guide once it is translated.

Just a heads up! Very Happy

Plan to. But since I can't really work on that until I have localized screenshots, that'll have to wait for when it actually happens.

And thanks romeu.

Nice. Glad someone took the time to explain it. =)

Suppose it's time to wait for translations then. *sigh*

hm

interesting
any idea what these all do for boosts? Also any other way to get the merchant emblems other than 100g ea? Are these different from the ones you get by doing the dungeon or boss?
