There is an Intro to Titans guide I made near the top of Titans section, covers both as well as the usefulness of the skills. Each career requires certain tactics to level, war masters need to mob and spam AoE to be effective, and highlanders are good at letting their hp shave off and let their normal hits and buffs do the work.
