Ok, so i raised my vassel level in the Obelisk of Glory to 1, so that i can now have a vassel. can someone explain to me what all this stuff means: Glory Points (mercenary) Tax, Library Resources Tax (percent per each input), Contract Signing Payment (gold), Gold Payment Tax, and Library Resource Tax (on timer). Because frankly, none of it makes sense. BTW: thx for the help (also, how do i hire the mercenaries in the Obelisk? they are all grayed out..)

okay so now that you have raised your vassal level, you can have a player pay you for help and lots of other things. okay glory points are the points you use to hire mercenaries. The Library Reasorce tax gives you a certain amount of the Resources that person invests in there library. The single payment of gold gives you gold that one time and nothing later. the gold payment tax gives you gold every certain amount of time.

The troops that are grayed out are troops you need mercenaries huts to hire. So if you don't have you can't hire.

Remember there are two types of mercenaries and describing the OB (Obelisk) mercenaries that way is a bit confusing.

You have regular mercenaries which are hired from the castle. The number of troops available to hire at any one time is random.

Then you have OB mercenaries, which require the corresponding hut (with the exception being Heavy royal guard which requires your order having control of the citadel). The number you can hire at anytime limited by how many of that type of hut you own.

Yea, how do i get these huts?

you attack one and take it like a city, with one vassal point you can take 2. But i don't think you will be able to take one. Only people in my order have them, they require lots of troops to take.
