I was leveling skills on my thief today and found that when leveling sneak I was just increasing the mana cost of the skill, and nothing else improved. Did I mis-read it? Is it supposed to work that way?

Anyone else notice this?

**Also, in my case, I was leveling Sneak from 28 to 29.

I will have this disclaimer that I do not play theif, but I believe that levelling Sneak makes it possible for you to be hidden from higher-lvl mobs.

I suppose that makes sense. I think that's kind of important to mention in the skill description.

I don't know about the higher mob thing

But it increases your crit rate.

Which is completely pointless...

Here, i was able to update the first few levels of Sneak some time ago. Hope it helps.

The only purpose of leveling Sneak(and Hidden Force) is that the higher level the skill, the more crit rate it gives you while it's buffed(and in turn only really effects your first hit).

There is no other purpose to it.

If you don't know, don't answer. Simple as that. You have GS tags, use them properly and don't answer things with stupid "I think's." Thanks.

The rudeness is unnecessary. I'd rather have a GS try to help me than ignore me because they weren't sure about something.

Just because they have GS tags doesn't mean they know everything.

I've noticed a few times when I was wandering from one place to another under the effect of Sneak that I'd pop out and immediately be sent into combat. I didn't target a mob, I didn't attack a mob, it just pulled me out and the mob next to me began attacking as though it noticed or detected me.
