Chapter 1 - Battle against Beliefs
" Hmm.. Odd. " Fujin thought out loud, tapping her cheek with her finger. Just a few minutes ago was she still charging that base, now she found herself completely alone, surrounded by fog, even her weapons were gone. " Where the heck am I.. " She started to look around, narrowing her eyes whenever she thought she saw something suspicious but it just turned out to be the thick fog that embraced her. Her brought one hand up and to the back of her head to rub it quietly, the straw hat shading her eyes, she needed to get out of this mess but she had no idea what was going on.
She started to wander forward, which she wasn't even sure was forward for her. Everywhere she looked, nothing changed, just the fog that surrounded her, disabling the sight for any object she could meet. " For the love of God where the heck am I!? " She was started to get angry and sprinted forward, wanting to find something, anything that would disrupt the fog and something did, just not something she wanted. The only action she could make in response to the sudden object, was a simple twitch of her body. Her advance came to a dead spot, eyes shifted down as she felt something painful rush within her chest and soon enough she saw where it came from, it was an arrow. She brought her hand up to grip the handle of it, trying to pull it out of her chest but got another one in her stomach. " Ngh..! " This time she released a grunt, unable to hold in the pained expressions. Luckily, before a third one could hit her, her ears managed to hear the sound of it being launched, jumping to the side and stumbling further away, barely able to keep herself balanced while she pulled the arrow in her chest out of her.
Her eyes started to close halfly, she wanted to narrow them to focus on where the next arrow would come from but it seemed it was working against her. " My Child, your blood raging insanity is about to come to an end! " She quickly turned, that voice was all too familiar. She immidiatly identified the man infront of her now, it was non other then Zhang Jiao. She jumped back, creating a distance between them but was met with two arrows right into her back, another grunt came from Fujin, legs started to tremble, she could not focus herself anymore. " Is this.. The only way you can fight me..? Stand still old man.. I'm going to cut you in pieces! " She rushed forward towards her, using the arrow she had pulled out as a weapon, jumping up and getting ready to attack him but within a flash was he gone before she even landed the strike, falling upon one knee and dropping the arrow. She could feel her strength fading, these weren't normal arrows, it felt like they were poisoning her muscles from the inside, the pa in that was starting to numb her senses one by one.
She looked around quickly, getting upon her feet and ready for another arrow but her eyesight was worsening and her eyes weren't responding to her commands and unfortunately, after a few seconds of stumbling and searching for Zhang jiao, did her eyes close. She couldn't open them anymore and she knew panicking wasn't going to solve that matter.. Still.. She was in the middle of nowhere and arrows came from nowhere, she was at a huge disadvantage. " Ah, I see the poison is doing it's trick. It's only temporarily but you will not live long neough to have your senes returning. "
" EH?! " Fujin brought her hand to her ear and actually taunted Zhang Jiao, a grin upon her face, like she didn't even care. " You gotta speak up, corpse! Oh wait.. Corpses.. " She pulled two other arrows from her body and rushes towards where she heard the voice. " DON'T TALK! " Sadly, she was left defenceless as she rushed towards her target and two more arrows were send, one into her side and the other into the side of her knee, forcing Fujin to fall upon her still uninjured side. Her straw hat shifted and covered her entire head. She didn't seem to be moving anymore, perhaps it's because the poison was infecting her entire body.. Still, she heard footsteps approaching her, and a voice that accompanied it, it was Zhang Jiao again. " My Child, it is time you found peace in the Heavens.. "
