Week 31, Day 2 - Eventing

Well, it's been a long day. But not half as bad as yesterday, thank goodness. Having the LC launcher keep freezing on me was driving me mad. Everything's working alright now, though. Life's back to normal and today I've been busy discovering the interesting Halloween treats that have been given to us. I do not celebrate Halloween because of its satanic origins, but I don't mind collecting baskets and pumpkins in-game.

I have created a small guide to the Halloween event items, here it is:

In that guide I have explained the different prizes you may get and how you can get them. I ran around and took screenshots of the different tricks and treats to make the reading a bit more interesting for you. Hope it helps!

While taking screenshots of the Pumpkin Ghost, I was accused by a low-level player of hacking. I asked him why he thought that, but got no reply other than "The admins are watching you!" I think perhaps he was envious of the glow from my weapon, or my movement speed, or maybe it was the speed at which I killed the Pumpkin Ghost that angered him. Actually, upon re-reading the chat we had (I took screenshots), it would seem that he was frustrated with his jack-o'-lantern hat. Apparently, though he had it equipped, he could not see the Pumpkin Ghosts--but he could see me attacking a space in the air. Ah, the poor kid. I know how that feels. I spent all morning at the herb patch, watching other players run by and pause to attack an air bubble. I acquired my jack-o'-lantern hat this afternoon, so now of course I understand what they were doing.

I am off to town now to set up a shop for the night and sport my lovely witch hat. Almost everybody else in town is in jack-o'-lantern hats, all that orange is starting to get hard on the eyes. And it's tough to tell what class players are, too, because their heads are completely covered. Not that it will matter tonight, seeing that I will be AFK. Off I go!
