The Travels of Yousha: Day 6 - A Brave (or Foolish) New World
I found today to be rather vexing...I arrived far to the north, amongst powerful monsters I couldn't take on more than one at a time. Holy. THAT was certainly an adventure. I accepted a quest for an old man in the temple, and ventured into the northern swamp...and soon found myself running willy-nilly in each and every direction with six viper things at my heels. THAT was a lot of fun -_-
Once I got my bearings again and had shaken off my pursuers, I began to envy the more warrior-like classes. They would attack many enemies at once, like powerhouses. Me, being an assassin, had no such luck, and it therefore took much patience and timing in order to draw out vipers one at a time. Eventually, the quest was complete. I was rewarded, but I could have used more experience. That would have helped me immensely.
I set out from the temple again, questless and without any yellow markers on the map (aside from many in the strongholds to the south. But it would have taken WAY too long to get there and the reawrds would not have been worth the long journey). Unfortunately, after being ganged up on by two bears and a God Evalgelist, I found myself in the centre of the world, Gliter. -__- I'm really getting sick and tired of ending up there all the time. So! In my annoyed recklessness, I jumped into the 1-20 pvp. Big mistake. I ended up in the Vail capital and took a portal to Iris...I was on a brand new map and had no idea where the hell I was. But I didn't give a crap...I ventured into the wild and found myself face-to-face with three purple-named insect larvae. I was out of there faster than a fish out of a shark's mouth.
So, in the end, I had to pay a guy 10 000 gold in order to get back to Gliter. Home sweet home. You never realize how much you love (or in my case, how much I don't dislike) a place until you run off into the sunset and wind up in a place you can't possibly live for more than five minutes in. So, back to the northern end of the map. I trained for a long time with the bears and God people. I finally leveled up to level 18, and three yellow dots appeared for quests. And they were nearby, too!
So, next day, I'll focus on completing those. I met a bored guard named Chroke, who wanted me to kill things for his amusement...as black as that seems, I'd be bored too if I had to spend all day staring at the scenery from a watchtower. So, I guess I'll help him out next day.
That's all the news for now. Until next time,
