Day 1 - Swarm!

And thus ends day one of my endeavor into the land of Shaiya. It was pretty fun, especially the quests (I love those).

The Travel's of Yousha - Day 1: Swarm!

So began my adventure as a Vail Assassin. I trained a bit at the beginning, but then came a classic story: I fell into the lake and wandered very far east. I didn't really know where I was going, or what I was doing, and the monsters outside the Vail boundaries were considerably stonger. I managed for a while, then was killed by a...something. Insect thingy. I ended up in the DeathEater stronghold. Wow. I was kind of intimidated, being around all the DeathEaters and hardly a Vail in sight. Oh well. I studied my map and then...quested returning to...whatever...the Vail village...is called. Her-hum. '

A classic story indeed, of a person lost and alone in unfamiliar territory, trying to find her way back home. What an interesting journey, though! Outside the DeathEater stronghold I trained some more, and when I felt ready, I set off across the nearby mountains. What a view! I was set for home when I saw another vail in need of assistance, near death at the hands of a bug thiny. Facing my fear of being killed by them again, I helped her out. As noble as the notion was, I'd come down from the mountain and was off-course. Then I encountered two people with quests. How exciting! They involved killing things at the Titan Ruins. It got me a bit off-track, but it was well worth it. Lots of gold and experience!

It was a long and ardorous journey indeed. But I finally made it home. Seeing that gothic bridge was a true relief. And with the money I got from the quests I completed, I bought a lot of armour and a great weapon. :D

And then...monsters attacked the domain! Crazy strong ones, too! Of course, we all gathered to fight, but only a few were actually even close to being powerful enough to take them on. The solution: SWARM. Yes, indeed. Giants with axes are no match for hundreds of tiny Vail and DeathEaters! Then a red wyvern appeared. WOW. It was powerful. It even healed itself. It killed most of us with a powerful nova-style fire attack. But the strong survived and took it down.

It was an inspiring sigh to see us all gathered together, unite for a common goal: to protect our homeland. I wonder if the elves and humans have the same problem. Hmm. But we really felt like a team; connected somehow. It was refreshing. I hope we can all work together again sometime.

But to be honest, I'm not much of a team player. I understand if it's very important, like that was, but I'm no good in teams. I have a hard time trusting people, in constant fear I will be betrayed. I have been told I'm a good leader, though. But alas, a leader needs to be strong and well, I fear I have not achieved a suficient level to be telling ANYone what to do.

But for now, I will strike out alone and stengthen myself in solitude. Then, someday, I shall return to my own.
